Konnichi-wa! Hajimimashite - My name is Sophia Iliakis-Doherty. I am the Associate Dean for International Programs at Peninsula College. Our college is located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington State in the city of Port Angeles. We are directly across from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and about two and half hours from Seattle. We have a beautiful camps with new buildings in a natural and safe setting. We offer Intensive English Program, Transfer Programs (AA Degrees), Vocational/Technical Programs and one year and short-term Certificates, High School Completion, Honors Program, GAP Year Program and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. From Fall Quarter 2018, we will have brand new fully furnished student housing located two blocks from campus (less than a ten minute walk). We also have traditional homestay and there are apartments around Port Angeles that can also be rented. We have activities and clubs to join on campus, some jobs on campus and leadership opportunities. We normally have about 100 international students on campus from about 10-12 different countries. We hope you will choose us as your study home for a year or two. Let us help you realize your academic dreams! Gambatte kudasai!

【1】留学前と今の気持ちの変化について。
正直に申し上げますと、留学前は複雑な気持ちがしていました。元を正せば米国にある４年制大学を目指していました。しかし、入学許可が下りなかったので、テンプル大学ジャパンキャンパスに通おうと思いました。が、私の一番興味である教育をさらに追求すべく、物理的に日本外の教育機関に在籍しようと思い、やはり一度日本を出る決意をしました。
