ケンタッキー州の北部、オハイオ州との州境にある州立大学。
ケンタッキーという名がついているが、実際には、オハイオ州シンシナティの中心部から車でわずか10分程度、シンシナティの郊外にある大学。
シンシナティは、メジャーリーグシンシナティ・レッズやNFLのシンシナティ・ベンガルズがあることでその名を知っている人は多いかも知れないが、オハイオ州、ケンタッキー州、インディアナ州の3州15軍にまたがる都市圏の人口は200万人を超える。
その中心部からわずか車で10分、バスでもわずか25分という場所は、『ケンタッキー』という名からは想像ができないほど都会。留学生は57か国から450名ほど学んでいるが、日本人留学生はほとんどいないため日本人留学生が少ない環境を探している方にはお勧めの大学。
大学のIDがあれば、市内のバスは無料で乗れるので交通費の心配もいらない。また、大学の周り、徒歩圏内にも多くのショップ、カフェ、レストラン等もあり便利な環境。学生寮は3000ベッドあり希望者寮生活が可能。学校内にレンタカーシステムもあるため車の購入は不要。

- 留学の目標：嫌いな英語を避けずにネイティブスピーカーだけでなく様々な国籍の人と楽しく会話ができるようになる。そこから文化の違いを学びその違いを楽しむ。
【1】留学前と今の気持ちの変化について。
留学前は尽く英語の文章を避けて毛嫌いしていましたが今はあまり抵抗もなく英語と接することができるようになりました。（到着して間もない時は英語に囲まれすぎて病気になるかと思ったりも…）様々な国籍の友達ができたため自分の中の世界も広がった気がします。"日本人の、自分の価値観は世界では当たり前でない"ということがわかったことで思考の変化や他人を理解する力が上がったと思います。
